Prior to forming Apparel Advisors, Jon served as Chief Operating Officer for James Perse from 2004-2006, directly leading the expansion of the wholesale and retail operations for the Company’s men's, women’s, children’s, and home accessories divisions.  Under Jon’s direction, profitability and sales growth accelerated, largely a result of strategic pricing initiatives, enhanced supply chain processes, and sourcing optimization. The company grew from $15 million to $50 million in annual sales and from 25 to over 100 employees.

Jon began his apparel career as a Partner at Major Motion Sportswear in 1987.  He was initially responsible for sales, merchandising, planning and production, and went on to become President and CEO in 1991.  Under his leadership the company grew to become one of the largest wholesalers of T-shirts for Fruit of the Loom in the U.S.  Jon developed a licensed product division and negotiated successful licensing deals with Disney, Warner Brothers and Marvel.  In 1992 he repositioned the company and added a junior fashion and children’s wear division.  He later sold the company in 2003.

Jon earned a J.D. degree from Southwestern Law School and a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Latin American Studies from Tulane University.
