Jon A. Levine, Principal Jon
A. Levine, Principal and CEO, has been active in the apparel industry for over 20 years. Mr. Levine began his career
as a California attorney in 1984. In 1986, Mr. Levine established Major Motion Sportswear and grew it to one of the
largest tee shirt distributors in California. In 1988, Mr. Levine developed a women's and children's division
which sold to Macy's, Saks, Dillards, JC Penny's, Sears, Mervyns, Kohls, Wet Seal, Rampage, The Limited and many more.
Major Motion's product was produced both domestically and overseas under its own label, private label and through licensed
apparel relationships with Disney, Warner Brothers, Marvel and Universal. In 2003, Mr. Levine down sized Major Motion
to spend more time with his family. In the later part of 2004, Mr. Levine was actively recruited
to oversee and lead the expansion of James Perse Enterprises' manufacturing and retail operations. James Perse is
a leading luxury brand in the Contemporary market. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Levine guided the growth of James
Perse to double in gross revenues, to triple in profits, and to expand from 25 to over 100 employees. While at James
Perse, Mr. Levine supervised the accounting, pre-production, production, planning, customer service and shipping departments. In
2006, Mr. Levine was named President of Mo Industries, a contemporary manufacturer whose labels include Splendid and Ella
Moss. As President, Mr. Levine supervised the sales of both brands and expansion of product categories and production
overseas. As part of his sales planning strategy, Mr. Levine grew the department store businesses by creating and training
a department store management team of planners and visual merchandisers. Mr. Levine also enhanced sales by implementing
a distribution plan for all salespeople to grow the business both domestically and internationally. On the product/sourcing
side, Mr. Levine expanded the Brands' product categories into sweaters, trousers and better dresses. This strategy
brought in additional, high margin revenue and furthered the branding of the labels. After accomplishing
his goals as a Corporate Executive, Mr. Levine wanted to get back in business for himself and utilize his vast experience.
In 2007, Mr. Levine formed Apparel Advisors.
